The SG Nickl has gained extensive experience in mechanical and plant engineering in a wide range of industrial sectors. Above all, the company stands for German mechanical engineering from a single source. In cooperation with our long-standing partners, we offer you solutions for special machine construction in particular. Our design solutions have constantly evolved, with a focus on the high demands of our customers. In addition, the digitalization and electrification of systems has been advancing for many years and we are expanding our expertise in these areas in order to be able to offer you competent complete solutions.

Safety

Your safety is important to us! Thanks to our many years of experience as a plant manufacturer, we can offer you the following services:

• Integration of state-of-the-art safety equipment such as laser scanners for continuous interaction with system components
• Modernization and retrofits of older systems including documentation and EC declaration of conformity
• Risk assessment with Sistema in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and DIN EN ISO 12100:2011-03
• Planning and consulting regarding protective devices

Mechanical engineering

The SG Nickl has its own design department. The Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2018 is used as the CAD/FEM environment. This enables us to offer you the following services:

• (Detailed) Design of components and assemblies including technical drawings
• Tests regarding the static component strength using FEM
• Planning, design, assembly, documentation and commissioning of entire systems and specially designed machines
• Concept proposals and design studies
• Installation space and range studies
• Design and calculation of linear guides, drive technology, bearings, slip ring assemblies, etc.
• Planning and design of pneumatic systems
• Cycle time studies

Software & electrical engineering

Just as digitalization is becoming increasingly important in mechanical engineering, it is steadily gaining importance at SG Nickl. The following tasks are therefore part of our range of services:

• Path planning and programming of ABB, Kuka, Mitsubishi & UR Robotern
• Programming of control systems (Siemens, Rockwell as well as CoDeSys based systems)
• Development of specific PC-Edge solutions for your needs (Order management, logging, comprehensive visualization, data management)

Maintenance

Service is part of our tradition. Based on this experience, we offer service and maintenance contracts for our systems and retrofits:

• Service contracts offer 24-hour on-call availability and reduce downtime in the event of a system fault thanks to short response times.
• Maintenance contracts also offer all-round support for the systems. The underlying holistic maintenance concepts in the sense of Total Productive Maintenance avoid machine downtimes and guarantee high system availability.
